Ego 18 inch chain saw

This is a good product for doing the light job that I wanted to do. It works well and it is quiet. Be advised that the chain saw is shipped without chain oil so you need to buy some chain oil and install it before you start up the saw. I got the 4 Ah battery which adds some weight but I have other EGO products and for the job I was doing I used the 2.5Ah battery which is a little lighter in weight.The Saw still worked well with the lighter battery. I sure it will run out of juice more quickly than the 4AH battery but I have additional batteries from other EGO products that I can use. I'm sure you can cut down small trees with this saw but so far I haven;t had to use it for that application. I recommend this saw.

Fantastic Chainsaw

I'll admit that I love EGO Power products. The last gasoline item I owned, with the exception of my lawn mower, was a chainsaw. I hated that thing. Leaked fuel and chain bar oil everywhere. Dirty. Hard to start. Finicky.I already owned the EGO blower and string trimmer which have outperformed any other gasoline versions I've ever owned, so I took the plunge with their chainsaw. Great power and battery life. Weighs about the same as a gas version. Provided battery charges fast on the provided charger. Very easy to tighten the chain. Oil reservoir doesn't leak a drop. Very happy!

Battery

Battery already dead kept it inside during the winter put it outside to charge used once battery dead will not recharge very disappointing

Powerful

Was surprised at the power this battery chain saw has. Had a gas powered one that was hard to start. This one is great, charge it up and just press the power button. Love it.

Cuts like a hot knife through butter

This saw is amazing - it cuts really well and quickly. The battery lasts longer than I do. My only complaint is that it doesn't hold a lot of bar oil, so you need to keep a close eye on the level. Otherwise you'll ruin your chain. Ask me how I know this....
