    What a complete piece of...

    I am pretty much stuck with this Ego trimmer and the previous trimmer head and this newer version are junk.

    The way the string wraps causes it to tighten into the wound string in the trimmer head and get stuck in/on itself thereby keeping it from feeding.

    Maybe if tech support ever answered the phones they could tell me something that I am missing, but I only have so much time to wait on hold.

    My next trimmer will not be an Ego.

    Perfect fit, fast shipping, absolutely worthless installation instructions.

    After reading over the instructions a few times, I decided it would just be easier to buy a new string trimmer. My son convinced my to give it one more try, so being fairly mechanical, I tossed the instructions in the trash and installed the new head. It fits perfectly and actually works much better than the original.
