Love the vacuum, hate the suction regulator

As a long-time fan of Ego products, I was thrilled when they introduced the wet-dry vacuum—an item I had been hoping for. I purchased it immediately, and overall, it has lived up to my expectations. It integrates seamlessly into the Ego battery ecosystem, which is one of my favorite features. Having a reliable and versatile vacuum that works with the same batteries as my other Ego tools is incredibly convenient.

The vacuum itself has plenty of great features, including strong suction power and a well-designed build for both wet and dry tasks. However, one feature is a major drawback: the hose selector for adjusting suction power. Unfortunately, it moves far too easily, and this becomes particularly frustrating when vacuuming a car or other tight spaces. The settings constantly shift unintentionally, which interrupts the workflow. To address this, I ended up taping the selector in place with black duct tape, which solved the problem but is far from ideal. This feature needs a redesign to improve usability.

Another point to consider is battery consumption. While it performs excellently on turbo, it drains a 5 amp-hour battery quickly when used for an extended period. For lighter tasks or when not using turbo, the battery life is much more reasonable.

Despite the issue with the hose selector, I’m very happy to have this vacuum as part of my Ego tool collection. It’s a powerful and practical addition that I would recommend to anyone already invested in the Ego system—just be prepared for a minor workaround with the suction control.
